Todo parte un jueves cuando dos niños salen de vacaciones con sus padres hacia el norte de Chile. Todo termina un domingo. Lucía (10) y Manuel (7) viajan junto a sus padres Ana (35) y Fernando (38) por un fin de semana largo. La pareja ha decidido separarse, pero ya tenían planeado hacer este viaje con sus niños, así que deciden hacerlo de todas formas. De a poco este viaje se va convirtiendo en la despedida final. Es un largo recorrido; la soledad del paisaje y el encierro del auto van revelando la crisis de los padres. Los niños sólo quieren llegar a una playa, Fernando a un sitio que le dejó su papá, y Ana a un lugar que no existe donde las cosas vuelvan a estar bien. Es la visión de Lucía, distante y fragmentada, de este último viaje familiar. Tomado desde De Jueves a Domingo.

It all begins on a Thursday when two children go on a holiday trip with their parents to the north of Chile. It all ends on a Sunday. Lucía (10) and Manuel (7) travel for the long weekend with their parents, Ana and Fernando. The couple has decided to break up but has previously promised their children to go to the north, so they decide to travel anyway. The journey slowly turns into a final goodbye. It's a long route. The landscape's loneliness and the car's confinement begin to surface the troubles of the couple. The children just want to get to the beach; Fernando, to a piece of land his father has left him; and Ana, to a non-existent place where things are fine again. This film is Lucía's distant and fragmented outlook on this last family trip. Taken from Thursday Till Sunday.
